AQSIQ: About the 2017 national construction waterproof product quality inspection report

At the 2017 National Conference on Quality Improvement of Building Waterproof Products held on December 7, the Product Quality Supervision Department of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine notified the results of the 2017 national supervision and random inspection of building waterproofing membranes, waterproof coatings and building sealant products. The results showed that 13 batches of construction waterproofing membrane, 2 batches of waterproof coating, and 3 batches of construction sealant did not meet the standard requirements. The unqualified enterprises involved 18 companies such as Gucheng Hongyuan Waterproof Material Co., Ltd., Shanghai Huafei Waterproof Material Co., Ltd., and Weifang Xindongyuan Glue Co., Ltd.

In the third batch in 2017, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine conducted a random inspection of Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Chongqing, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Xinjiang, etc. 126 batches of construction waterproof membrane products produced by 126 enterprises in 19 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government. Including elastomer modified asphalt waterproof membrane, self-adhesive polymer modified asphalt waterproof membrane, polymer waterproof material-sheet (composite sheet resin FS2), wet paving waterproof membrane, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) waterproof membrane 5 products.

Spot checks found that 13 batches of products did not meet the requirements of the standard, involving soluble content, heat aging (low temperature flexibility, dimensional change rate, peel strength coil and aluminum plate), hot air aging (tensile strength retention rate), low temperature Flexibility, elongation (elongation at maximum peak), oil permeability, seam peel strength, peel strength (coil and coil, coil and aluminum plate), holding viscosity, coil and coil peel strength (no treatment, heat treatment ), peel strength with cement mortar (no treatment, thermal aging), elongation at break (normal temperature, low temperature), composite strength (FS2 type surface layer and core layer), heat resistance and other items.

In the second batch of 2017, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine selected a total of 40 batches of waterproof coating products produced by 40 companies, and 2 batches of products did not meet the requirements of the standard.

A random inspection found that a batch of 951 color elastic acrylic waterproof coating (20kg/drum 2017-04-25) of Shanghai Huafei Waterproof Material Co., Ltd. was found to be unqualified for low-temperature flexible projects; a batch of Zhejiang Jintang Building Waterproof Material Co., Ltd. The sub-component polyurethane waterproof coating (25kg/drum 2017-04-20/170420) found that the naphthalene content item failed.

In the third batch in 2017, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine selected a total of 40 batches of construction sealant products produced by 40 companies in 8 provinces and municipalities including Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Henan, Guangdong, and Sichuan.

Random inspection found that 3 batches of products did not meet the standard requirements, involving tensile bond failure area, tensile modulus, tensile bond strength items.

Unqualified enterprises for random inspection of construction sealants include: Weifang Xindongyuan Glue Co., Ltd., Shandong Yongguan Glue Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Shengbaoda Industrial Co., Ltd.
